What should you be looking for?
The best thing you can do to be aware of viruses getting into your PC is by just knowing how your computer normally performs. If it normally takes a minute for it to boot up, and your computer for some reason takes 3 minutes to boot, you probably want to keep an eye on things. Don’t disregard it.
If you homepage is Yahoo and it opens up to a new page that you haven’t seen before, you need to start scanning your computer. There are a lot of programs out there and we suggest you get a good antivirus program on your PC BEFORE you get a virus. If you try to put on an antivirus after you have an infected computer, you’re going to have issues. Many times viruses will block access to most antivirus websites so you WON’T be able to download anything. In addition, there are a LOT of programs out there that come up on search engines when you start getting excitable and typing in “free antivirus software” that really are NOT antivirus software and will only compound your problem.
